    Computer Programming

    We currently offer our Computer Programming program, designed to build the skills and knowledge needed to start a professional career in technology. Through practical, comprehensive training, you will gain the tools you need to work as a software developer and prepare to enter a competitive job market. All of this with Holberton, an international technology academy present in more than 33 countries and recognized worldwide. The program lasts 12 months, divided into 3 quarters, and is offered part-time. Sessions start after 6:00 p.m., so this format is ideal for people who work, study, or have other responsibilities during the day and do not have full-time availability to complete the program.     The program takes you from zero to a highly skilled software engineer through a blend of foundational theory, hands-on projects, and a final portfolio-worthy capstone.
    More than a software engineer, you will learn to be a problem-solver. From day one, you tackle real-world coding challenges, mastering C, Python, Linux, data structures, algorithms, databases, and web development. This immersive, peer-driven experience prepares graduates to solve complex problems efficiently and be job-ready when they finish.
    Its key advantage is the depth of the curriculum, compared with many bootcamps that only offer surface-level knowledge in a few months. You build a solid technical base in computer science and develop the soft skills needed to excel in fast-paced work environments.
    Whether you are new to coding or looking to deepen your existing skills, this program is a complete roadmap to modern software development. No previous knowledge required.
    Curriculum (3 sprints)
    Sprint 1: Text Editors & Version Control; Introduction to C Programming; Intro to Data Structures and Algorithms; Advanced C Projects.
    Sprint 2: AI Tools & Introduction; Python Fundamentals; Advanced Python & OOP; Web & Database Foundations; Modern JavaScript (ES6) & Front-End.
    Sprint 3: Data Handling & NoSQL; DevOps & Infrastructure; Code Quality & Professional Development; Modern JavaScript & Node.js; Portfolio Project - Brainstorming.

  • Methodology

    Cohort-Based

    Cohort-based learning is a collaborative learning style in which a set of individuals advances through an educational program together. On-campus programs use a cohort learning model.

    Holberton Schools globally start cohorts three (3) times a year at the same time, usually in winter, spring, and autumn.

    Project-Centered

    Instead of focusing on simply teaching theory, we will give you increasingly difficult challenges in the form of projects, while giving you minimal initial direction on how to solve such challenges. As a result, you will independently seek out the theory and tools that you need, work to understand them, and then use them.

    This project-centered learning approach more closely resembles what happens in real life at work.

    Peer-learning

    Peer learning is an important educational practice at our school. Throughout our program, you will interact with other students to reach your educational goals.

    Peer education is a very constructive learning environment, you will be immersed in an environment where everyone is expected to support each other’s learning journey.

    Learn How to Learn

    You will find solutions to problems using various resources, imagination, creativity, and communication. As a result, you will be able to adapt faster to the unknown challenges you will undoubtedly face throughout your career.

    Our curriculum is both intense and exciting. You will create, build, maintain and scale many applications and systems.
